Software Designer, Product Development
General Overview:
BrandWizard is looking for a Software Designer to use their inDesign expertise to
push growth and evolve new and current BrandWizard software products and to continuously
support current software products. You will be responsible for designing functional
software products, working with clients to make changes and enhancements on current
products, and writing technical documents. Our ideal candidate will be a master
of Adobe InDesign who has superior writing and communication skills, the ability
to think critically, strategically, and creatively, is detailed oriented and thorough,
motivated to propel innovation, and invested in the creation and management of a
high end product.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Proactively invest in fully understanding all BrandWizard products/offerings (examples
include, design automation, workflow automation, digital brand management systems,
and public facing websites)
- Gather business requirements from clients, analyze and use this information to design
solutions collaborating with all internal teams
- Write technical documentation, including schematics, for designed solutions (examples
include, functional specifications, change requests, instructional manuals, and
training presentations)
- Facilitate clear direction and communication between all internal teams during development
and implementation of designed solution
- Create and administer InDesign templates for use within our automated web-to-print
system (knowledge of InDesign XML tagging and script labeling a plus)
- Support clients that are using our automated web-to-print system by investigating
and resolving template issues
- Consult with clients on collateral management strategy using InDesign and product
expertise to optimize effective use of our automated web-to-print system
- Participate in functional testing of designed solutions for quality assurance purposes
- Create training materials and conduct training of our systems
- Keep abreast with trends in the market place to be involved in new product development
ensuring the continued growth of our products
Requirements:
- Completely fluent in Adobe products (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), master
in Adobe InDesign a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Software/functional design – an understanding of how things work or should work
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills
- Problem solver who can describe solutions clearly to those with differing levels
of technology background/understanding
- Hands-on team player who is willing to do what it takes to get a job done
- 3-5 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Light travel (20%)

Overall Responsibility:
The Director, Client Services, is responsible for conceptualizing and executing
business development activities including targeting, developing, negotiating, and
closing relationships with prospects and clients. The Director reports to the Executive
Director, Client Services, and is a critical part of the team responsible for creating
a vision and plan to drive new business, increase market share in the UK and Europe,
and to adapt and customize products and services for regional/local targets.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Global New Business lead to champion BrandWizard offerings
and identify market opportunities, with intent to pursue and cultivate outbound
engagements with targeted prospects.
- Develop, qualify, and track leads and move any potential opportunity from initial
contact to deal closure.
- Work with colleagues, network partners and industry alliances toward growing revenue
from new business activities.
- Collaborate within BrandWizard, Interbrand other disciplines, where appropriate,
to generate end-to-end integrated offerings for prospects and clients.
- Monitor and remain up-to-date on industry trends to define new business offerings,
analyze market segments and increase sales
- Contribute to client management team to brainstorm business development strategies
for existing clients Manage local team in support of identifying and executing new
business opportunities.
- Marketing/PR activities for local and European region
Skills and Attributes
This job requires a high-level strategic thinker with persuasive presentation skills.
The Director, Client Services must be personable, outgoing and confident. He or
she must have a proven track record developing relationships with large clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-10 years business development experience
- 5+ years experience developing business in the digital technology market
- BA/BS required
- Team player, but able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record pricing, negotiating and closing deals
- Travel requirement: 25-30%
